Bird Refuge Fieldtrip & Slip 'N Slide!

This week we visited the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.  Their staff provided lots of neat visual tools and examples to help us remember fun facts about birds.  We watched a short film that taught us about what the Refuge does and how they help protect wildlife.

We also learned about how pollution from many different sources affects the soil and water.  This pollution destroys the natural habitat of our birds and other wildlife.

We also went on a nature walk on the Refuge in hopes of seeing some insects.  We didn't hear any 'bird calls' though...I think the birds were smart to stay out of the heat.

What is the perfect way to spend a blazing hot afternoon?  Wet and wild fun on the biggest slip'n slide ever!  Head first, feet first, it didn't matter...we raced, we slid, we got muddy, and we had a whole lot of fun doing it!!!

Even our brave and fearless Moms joined in.  You rock Heather and Ronell!

Look who else got her feet wet...go Karina!!!  You are amazing!

A BIG thank you to the Millsap Family for planning such a great event!  It was a fabulous day!!!  Fun friends, fun memories, fun times!
