Owls in the Family
Our first quarter read aloud that we finished last Friday was Owls in the Family by Farley Mowat. Ask your children which escapade of Wol and Weeps (the owls), Mutt and Rex (the dogs), and Billy, Bruce, and Murray (the boys) they liked the best. Ask them the setting of the book. Next, order the book for your family library. And finally, get your hands on The Dog Who Wouldn't Be by Mowat for a collection of stories about Mutt.
